Good News: Detroit Lions Fans Breathe Easy Again As They Received Another $6.654 million Ground Breaking Key Weapon

Posted on May 24, 2025 by ADMIN

Detroit Lions wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa has officially signed his rookie contract, joining the team as their third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. TeSlaa, a Michigan native, announced the signing on his Instagram with the caption: “Officially a Lion. God is so good.” The contract is a four-year deal worth $6.654 million, including a $1.486 million signing bonus. His annual salaries range from $840,000 to $1.713 million, with additional workout bonuses totaling $85,000 from 2026 to 2028 .

The Lions had previously signed their fifth-round pick Myles Frazier, sixth-round pick Ahmed Hassanein, and seventh-round picks Dan Jackson and Dominic Lovett. With TeSlaa now under contract, only second-round picks Tyleik Williams and Tate Ratledge remain unsigned. Delays in signing second-round picks are common due to more flexible negotiation terms, though there’s currently no concern about their eventual signings .

TeSlaa’s selection was part of a trade-up by the Lions, who moved from pick No. 102 to No. 70 in the third round to select him. General Manager Brad Holmes expressed that TeSlaa was his favorite wide receiver in the draft, highlighting his athleticism and potential to contribute to the team’s offense .

During his time at Arkansas, TeSlaa recorded 62 receptions for 896 yards and five touchdowns over two seasons. He impressed scouts with a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and a 39.5-inch vertical jump at the NFL Combine, showcasing his speed and leaping ability .

TeSlaa’s signing adds to the Lions’ growing list of rookies under contract as they prepare for the upcoming season. With training camp approaching, the team looks forward to integrating their new talent into the roster.
