Eagles star A.J. Brown offers some heartfelt wisdom to students at Miami of Ohio

“Chase your purpose. Chase a better version of yourself.” Those were some of the words shared by Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown during a recent visit to Miami University of Ohio. “The money will chase you. The opportunities will chase you.”

Stress Less Week at Miami brought over 750 students together to hear what he had to say. No one left disappointed. Recently, some of the conversation was shared via A.J. and Miami’s social media channels.

Check out some of A.J. Brown’s day at Miami of Ohio’s Stress Less Week.

According to Miami University’s website, “Stress Less Week encourages Miami students to pause, recharge, and prioritize well-being. The university’s Suicide Prevention Team, Office of Student Wellness, and Student Counseling Service host a week-long campaign (April 7-11 this year) that prioritizes mental health, stress management, suicide prevention, self-care, and well-being.

A.J. helped out by sharing some of the wisdom he has gained during the course of his journey through life.

A.J. has had quite a pair of months since helping the Birds hoist the Super Bowl for a second time. He bought a Rolls-Royce. He shared that the feeling it gave him wasn’t equal to the electricity he feels from competing. He was criticized for both, especially the latter. If we’re being honest, we still can’t figure out why.

Why are so many people so hostile? Maybe people enjoy complaining?

A.J. is a great guy. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. That irritates people, but that’s the price we pay for our constant thirst for inside access. If honest emotions and raw behind-the-scenes access trouble you, maybe it’s time to take breaks from television and social media.

We see things differently. Hopefully, some of you agree. If you follow guys during a football game with a camera, we believe you have to expect there will be times when what you find may surprise you.

Here’s our take. We never want A.J. to be anyone other than who he is, and rather than push the overworked narratives, maybe we should discuss things like his philanthropy a little more often.
