The Kansas City Chiefs have been widely regarded as the best team in the NFL over the past few years, winning two of the last three Super Bowls.
Despite their recent success, the Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 in the Super Bowl after taking down the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans.
After the season, NFL teams across the league are gearing up for free agency, set to begin on March 12.
The Chiefs capped off the season with a 17-3 record, but a loss in the Super Bowl puts pressure on Kansas City to revamp their roster and get back to the big game.
One of the latest free agency predictions favoring the Chiefs links Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the organization.
Aaron Schatz at ESPN predicts the Chiefs to the one-time All-Pro First-Team and four-time Pro Bowler to sign with the Chiefs before the 2025 NFL season.
“Diggs should be recovered for the start of the 2025 season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 8. He had a positive DVOA for the Texans before his injury and was on pace for another 1,000-yard season,” he wrote.
Diggs was recently signed to a one-year, $22.5 million deal with the Texans.
Last season, Diggs posted three touchdowns and 496 yards on 47 receptions. He played just eight games during the season after suffering a torn ACL in his first year with the Texans.
Diggs played one season with the Texans after five years with the Minnesota Vikings and four years with the Buffalo Bills.
While he snapped his streak of 1,000-yard seasons (6) in 2024, Diggs has been widely regarded as one of the most talented receivers in the NFL and may still have some gas left in the tank after recovering from his ACL injury.
